Garmin have finally delivered something that just couldn't be done a few years ago. Shrouded in secrecy whilst they perfected the axle-based strain gauges, Garmin released these pedals only a few weeks ago.
Using ANT+ wireless communication, the left pedal talks to the right pedal, which then sends all the power and cadence information to the head unit. The units are simple to fit, easy to calibrate and easy to move between bikes. The pedal platform is Look-compatible so you won't need to fit the new cleats if you already run Look road pedals.
Amazingly these pedals give more power information and are just as accurate as some of the much more expensive crank-based units.
Stock of these wunderpedals is very low in Australia. However, we still have a few sets you can take a look at!
