Bianchi Bike Overview
Bianchi is the world's oldest bike manufacturing company still in existence, having pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1885. It was founded in Italy in 1885. It produced cars and commercial vehicles from 1900 to 1939 and motorcycles from 1897 to 1967. For 50 years Bianchi has been associated with the Italian Tour de France winner, Fausto Coppi and also pioneered the front wheel calliper brake. Bianchi leads the Italian bike manufacturing industry and is arguably one of the best bike manufactures in the world. Bianchi produce mountain bikes, track bikes, triathlon bikes and kid’s bikes, but are more renowned for their road bikes. Bianchi road bikes are not only one of the fastest produced bikes in the world, but like many other things that come out of Italy they are extremely good to look at.
