Like the hybrid bike, the flat bar is a mixture of mountain and racer however where the hybrid is more like a mountain bike with bits of a racer. The flat bar road bike is more like a racer with bits of a mountain bike.

There is no suspension and the frame is that of a racer. The flat handlebars allow the rider to sit more upright but there is still a light riding frame making the bike a bit more fragile then others. These bikes are only suited to road riding like the racer.

Flat Bar Road bikes are built for comfort and speed. Same frame and components as a Racer with comfort Flat Bar handlebars similar to a mountain bike.
