Pedals
Searchor Sell pedals
A bicycle pedal is attached to the crank arms which the rider pushes with his or her foot to propel the bicycle. They come in four different styles; platform, clipless, toe clip and egg beater. The platform pedals are more commonly found on BMX and Mountain bikes. They are alot more easier to use than clipless pedals as they do not require any form of technique to take your foot off the pedal. The clipless pedals are generally found on road bikes, they require some practice before use as it is easy to get your foot stuck which could quite possibly result in falling of your bike.

Platform pedals
-
Platform pedals are the most basic pedals just step on and ride.

Clipless pedals
-
Clipless pedals require a special cycling shoe with a cleat fitted to the sole. The cleat locks into the pedal which holds the shoe firmly to the pedal, a small side twist from the rider’s foot releases the shoe. The benefit of clipless pedals is the efficient transfer of power when pedaling.

Toe clip pedals
-
Toe clip pedals have a similar principle to clipless pedals with the difference being that your foot is not fixed into the pedal. Instead the pedal has a cage attached which your foot can easily slide in and out of.
