Triathlon and Time Trial bikes are race machines. These bikes are designed to create maximum efficiency for the individual rider. Time trial and triathlon competitions are individual events which do not allow drafting. For this reason it is imperative that the rider and Triathlon / Time Trial bike are as aero-dynamic as possible resulting in minimal wind resistance. These bikes are harder to balance, and less comfortable than most bikes but they are the fastest.
