Titanium frames

DiGGin - Created: 04/03/2011 at 05:09 PM
I was just reading the other topic about titanium frames and I'm wondering what they are like to ride? Carbon is good but I am very interested in getting something different. Can someone give me a bit of info about what they are like to ride? Cheers, digger.

They are called Baum Cycles, titanium frames manufactured in Nirth Shore Geelong. The site is awesome and the bikes look hot. I'll have a closer look at these guys. Thanks for the info.

Depends on your budget. Van Nicholas are amongst the best but expensive, litespeed is more affordable and from all reports very good. There is a place in Geelong Victoria that makes them and they are supposedly quite and not too dear, you'll have to google it though...

Commuting riding about 20 kms a day. I figured titanium would be better because its stronger. I'd hate to crack a carbon frame. got any suggestions on what to get and whats affordable?

Titanium is great. Its light and stronger than carbon. What kind of riding are you doing?
