First Road Bike: Argon 18 Radon vs Giant TCR Alliance 2
- Created: 29/04/2009 at 01:28 PM
Am buying my first new road bike (I am 6'3"), interested to hear anyone's view on the comparison between these two bikes that I have shortlisted. Will start with latte rides along the bay to develop fitness then get a bit more serious.
a) 2009 Argon 18 Radon: $2,300 (reduced from $2,600).
b) 2009 Giant TCR Alliance 2: $2,500 (reduced from $2,999).
c) 2008 Giant TCR-C2: $2,399 (reduced from $2,795).
Bike must have Shimano 105 groupset at minimum. Prices above include pedals, water bottle/cage, etc.
Thanks!

norman - 06/05/2011 at 11:10 PMIve just baught an argon 18 radon 2009-2010. Ver y nice bike, quick and quite fast.
Its a stiff and comfortable ride just as they say. I think its great for someone looking to get into some serious road riding in the future. Great entry bike is what im trying to say. My friends got the giant tcr advanced (red and black) Very nice bikes giants are. I couldnt tell which one to go for, but im really happy with my argon 18 radon 2009-2010. The argon radon is a race ready machine my friend and worth test riding.
