History of the Wilier Brand

Wilier is a brand firmly entrenched within the cycling fraternity. Established in 1906, Wilier started out life all about the bike, with the brands steel framed bicycles enjoying great popularity on the back of cyclings rapid growth during the early 20th century.

Over the course of the next century, Wilier remained involved in Italian cycling with many riders competing and winning aboard its bikes including the likes of Magni and more recently Pantani, Scarponi and Pozzato. The success of Wilier riders on the world stage is equal parts talent and industry leading bicycle technology.

Like many other premium bike brands, Wilier Triestina has been constantly refining its manufacturing process, creating bicycles that are just as stiff and compliant as they are lightweight. Large Inflation Tube technology is one such example of the Italian brand's cutting edge manufacturing in effect. LiT is the process of inflating special bladders inside of raw carbon fibre tubing and is used to ensure uniform tube thickness of the entire bike frame, aiding Wilier in hitting a desired stiffness to weight ratio on the uber premium Cento range of bikes.
