Computers – A bike computer is generally mounted to the handlebar of your bike to display trip information. Functions can include current speed, average speed, distance covered, time elapsed etc. Some computers will even have GPS functionality as well. Older bike computers will have a sensor that is attached to the wheel whereas newer models are wireless with data being collated via satellite.
Heart Rate Monitors – Heart rate monitors are used to record your hearts beats per minute. They are an excellent training resource to help you get fitter and train better. Heart rate monitors will contain two parts. Either a watch or handlebar computer to read the data and a transmitter that is strapped around your chest.
