If you’ve got a hankering to spend some serious time in the saddle, to soak up the summer outdoors, and to indulge in some of Australia’s greatest regional fare, then you’re in luck.
The RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride is back – for the 31st time.
That’s plenty of time to perfect a mass riding event, which is handy given event organisers are this year expecting 4,000 riders to take part.
From Albury NSW (right on the border) to Lilydale via Victoria’s spectacular High Country, this is a superb event for the active family or the social bunch.
Depending on the distance you ride (see below) some of the sights along the way include beautiful country destinations like former gold mining town Yack (also known as Yackandandah!), the gourmet food bowl of Milawa, the hills of the North-east, the majestic Murray river, Lake Hume, Black Spur and much, much more.
And we’re big fans of riding all day only to wind down with fantastic food and drink; it’s zero-guilt pleasure day in, day out!
