Someone at the coal face of the action is Ironman Tim Berkel – this guy knows about smashing long, hard kilometres in the saddle. Check out some of his advice here.

How to Stay Hydrated

When it comes to training or racing, you only need to lose 2% of your body weight through sweat and you’re already starting to compromise your performance. Check out the pros at this year’s Santos Tour Down Under… Heat has got to be one of the most gruelling features about this race. In those sort of conditions maintaining hydration can not only mean the difference between first and second; but finishing or blowing up completely.

Sweating might be the body’s instinctive way to cool down, but it also means we lose essential electrolytes that are key to performance and endurance. We caught up with the team at Endura Sports Nutrition to look at just a couple of their products that help cyclists train harder, race faster and recover quicker.
