Stretch It Out

August 05, 2014

Killer ITB? Tight quads? Stiff back? Ah – the joys of cycling, eh?

As much as we love it, and as good for us as it is, cycling can come with its fair share of niggles and pains if we’re not too careful.

Our friends at El Camino have been practicing yoga for years, but it’s in recent times they’ve seen a surge in interest from cyclists. So they pulled together a class tailor-made to cycling bunches, and we jumped on board for a bit!

Hello bendy, stretchy and happier cycling muscles!

Check out some easy-as-pie stretches you can do that will help some of the more common bike riding niggles.

But remember – the information in this video should not be taken as medical advice. If you’re feeling particularly tender then we recommend you visit your local GP. It’s also a great idea to check out a yoga class in person, as Yogis can help you really perfect the nuances of so many stretches to make sure you get the best outcomes.

If you’re in the Melbourne area, then get in touch with El Camino either via their website or on Facie, and join their bike riding stretch classes – your muscles will thank you for it!
