Cycling Clubs

Geelong Cycling Club

The Geelong Cycling Club has a long history in the region dating back to 1911. The area has seen some huge growth and with the expansion of Armstrong Creek, Lara and the Bellarine, this is only going to continue.

The club is affiliated with Cycling Victoria and holds events all throughout the year ranging from crit races in summer to road races in winter. The club also has a great junior program, no doubt developing gun riders of the future.

Courses are varied in distance and location which makes for a great racing calendar, always something different, and a course to suite every style of rider.

Junior GCC

Thanks to Dan Wilson from GCC for the great photo of the juniors in action.

Geelong and Surf Coast Cycling Club

The Geelong and Surf Coast Cycling Club encourages competitive road cycling in the region for veteran cyclists (males 35+ and females 30+) and the healthy lifestyle that comes along with it. The club works hard to be inclusive and be involved with local businesses and communities.

The club formed in 1977 in Geelong West and has now grown to one of the strongest Veteran racing clubs in Victoria.

Racing is every Sunday morning all year and crit’s Thursday nights over summer. The club have a lot of support at the races, most of them making it onto youtube, so if you are keen to get some evidence of yourself redlining it during a race, then sign up.

The club embrace the social aspect of riding and ensure that everyone has fun and enjoys their time.
