Cadel Evans will lead FutuRide at Federation Square, Melbourne next Tuesday evening 11.12.12, where almost 1000 cyclists will pedal stationary bikes to light up 120 Christmas trees through pedal power to break two Guinness World Records:
· Most electrical energy generated by pedalling on bicycles in one hour
· Most lights lit by pedal power.
The event runs from 6pm to 9.30pm and will see Cadel joined on stage by top Australian cyclists, Rachel Neylan, Simon Clarke, Caleb Ewan and Dutch cyclist Koen de Kort who will lead the hundreds of riders at FutuRide.

Cadel, who was recently announced as Siemens in Australia’s ambassador, is working with Siemens to raise awareness of how the choices we make today will impact our future. The event will highlight what can be achieved when people come together to contribute to a sustainable future.
