Knog Blinder 1 Light Review

In short, the Knog Blinder 1 front light certainly lives up to it's name. With an output of 20 lumens (this is the LED rating), visibility is bright and can be spotted from up to 750 metres away on a clear night.  The Knog Blinder 1 runs with an "Efficient LED" bulb, or to simplify, it maintains it's "brightness" for up to 90% of it's charge life.

There are 5 modes - Steady, Fast Flash, Organic Flash 1, Organic Flash 2 (when switched to these modes you can expect a battery life up to 2 hours) and an Eco-Flash option (which can last up to 11 hours).  Charging is as easy as plugging your light into your computer or laptop, utilising the light's neatly tucked away USB plug.

Aesthetically speaking, the design is modern and you can select from 6 different face frames - standard (round light), love heart, flower, cog, cross and for those "edgier" riders there's even a skull variety on offer.  The general style of the Knog Blinder 1 is easy on the eyes, no "heavy" mounting brackets and comes in a compact 25mm x 33mm size.    The housing is made of a waterproof polycarbonate, anodised aluminium and solid stainless steel which means you can tackle the elements in style.

Pulling out the tool kit and tousling with a mounting kit is unnecessary, this light has been created with an industrial grade silicone rubber which provides enough "give" to attach to 22 - 32mm handlebars and frames.

Weighing in at 15g and sold at a very reasonable retail price point of $29.95, the Knog Blinder 1 is a "brilliant" light (no pun intended).
