The annual Moreton Bay 100 charity bike ride is on again! Bike riders can choose to enjoy onsite family fun ride, a pleasant scenic 50 km ride to the Bay or for the more experienced seeking a challenge either the 161km or a 100km ride. All while knowing they are raising much needed funds to support young families and the homeless within the Moreton Bay region.

All funds raised go directly to LYEAC to maintain their two emergency accommodation facilities located at Lawnton and Strathpine for young people. In addition funds also assist in providing fundamental life skills education programs for tenants who in are accommodated in the Lions Life Skills Centre. LYEAC supports isolated and sometimes dislocated young families and provide an effective early intervention and prevention program with a clear aim of reducing domestic violence, child abuse and neglect. Currently there is no government funding for these programs and all funding is raised through the Lions Clubs and this annual Moreton Bay 100 bike event.

By registering to participate you can support these essential programs within the region while enjoying a leisurely family ride or a challenging scenic ride throughout the beautiful Moreton Bay region. Choose your ride and start pedaling:

A Family Fun Ride for families and the less experienced cyclist to enjoy. There are 2 small oval circuits within the Pine Rivers Show Grounds to cater from tiny tots to older children – all encouraged to do as many laps as they wish. Everyone will receive a participation certificate showing how many laps they achieved. Enjoy the FREE jumping castle, face painting and Best Dressed Bike Competition.

For a little more exercise, the 50km bike ride commences at Lawnton, and traverses the seaside suburbs of Scarborough and Redcliffe Peninsula, crosses the Ted Smout Bridge, to take in Bracken Ridge before finishing at the Pine Rivers Show Grounds, Lawnton.

For the more experienced riders, the 100km provides a more challenging ride by travelling a circuitous route through Morayfield, Burpengary, Deception Bay, Scarborough, Redcliffe, over the Ted Smout Bridge to Brighton, Bracken Ridge and through Strathpine to finish at Lawnton.

The 161km (100 miles) will provide the specialist cyclists with a definite challenge, cycling through the beautiful Jinker Track up to Dayboro, around to Morayfield, Burpengary, Deception Bay, and then enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery of Scarborough, Redcliffe, over Ted Smout Bridge to Brighton, Bracken Ridge and return to Lawnton.

All cyclists and family may then enjoy a hearty meal provided by the Lions Club of Pine Rivers.
