The Santos Tour Down Under continues to put the rad in RAdelaide! Bunch rides are getting organised left, right and centre, cleats are the overwhelming footwear of choice, and the place is swarming in Lycra as everyone gets into their TDU groove.
Whilst the men took advantage of the only scheduled rest day, the women worked hard in the heat. Orica-AIS once again showed inimitable force with Amanda Spratt taking out Stage Two of the Santos Women’s Cup, and Valentina Scandolara and Jo Hogan (Boss Racing) coming second and third respectively. Once again a massive congrats to Orica-AIS; the team overall is looking invincible here in SA and we’re pumped for them!
It’s also been a great day for soaking up bike bling in the Adelaide City Council Race Village. We’ve caught up with some of the biggest names in town to get a sense of how they feel about the week ahead (and thrown in the odd quirky question for good measure, too).
Road cycling in Australia just doesn’t get any better than this week. Bring on tomorrow as the women battle it out for their third and final stage, and the men get down to business!
But for now, check out the latest behind-the-scenes highlights ...
