The 2007 Grand Prix Cycling Series will again feature as the ‘two wheel’ indy around the cosmopolitan districts of South Bank in Brisbane and the popular Cavill Mall in Surfers Paradise.

Queensland's South East provides the perfect setting to produce world class cycling events. These criterium style races transform the CBD café areas into a vibrant, exciting venue with a colourful, fast paced international cycling event attracting some of the world's best cyclists along with thousands of corporate participants and spectators.

The series offers a one off opportunity to mix it with the superstars of cycling at some of Australia's best venues. Spectators will be treated to high action, intense racing and the chance to compete in the Corporate Pro Am and meet in person their international cycling heroes.

You can expect to see the likes of three time Green Jersey winner, Robbie McEwen, 2004 Olympic gold and silver medallist Brad McGee, Green Jersey winner in 2003 Baden Cooke and Allan Davis a dual winner of this series returning to the Australian racing scene.

This event is a select field of cyclists ensuring the spectators are treated to an international level of cycling in their own backyard. The event will also feature in a one hour program to be aired on Network 7 nationally.

South Bank Cycling Grand Prix is race one held on Sunday, December 2 at South Bank Parklands, Brisbane. Expect to see fast and furious racing around the streets of South Bank while enjoying the front row viewing from numerous café’s in Little Stanley St and enjoy the Giro de Brisbane, an Italian themed festival to compliment the program.

The South Bank event also doubles as the National Titles.

The Surfers Paradise Cycling Grand Prix is one of the sporting highlights on the Gold Coast and this year will be the final race in the series on December 9. Robbie McEwen is the hometown hero and loves nothing better than winning in front of a home crowd.

The international stars will battle it out on a tight course in the heart of the Surfers Paradise, including the popular Cavill Mall, The Esplanade and Orchid Avenue. The corporate hospitality suite will be perfectly positioned on the Esplanade right between the finish line and the world famous Surfers Paradise beachfront, making for an extra special backdrop.

The events at South Bank and Surfers Paradise also include a Corporate Challenge open to any keen cyclist, B and C Grade races for the more experienced, Women’s event, and a corporate hospitality area to indulge and watch the race right on the finish line.
