BMC Cycling Products for Sale

In 1986, Bob Bigelow founded BMC, the Bicycle Manufacturing Company, which originally was a distributor of Raleigh bicycles. However after losing its distribution license, the company turned to engineering and design.

By 2001, BMC created its first Teammachine which they supplied to the Phonak Cycling Team and revolutionised bicycle manufacturing with their “firefork” construction method. Since then, BMC has produced some of the world’s most innovative bikes and cycling products. In 2006 the Promachine SLC01 was created to be the first sub 1kg frame by BMC and helped Oskar Pereiro win stage 16 of the Tour de France.

The Teammachine has been forever evolving, from the SLT01 which was created back in 2001 through to the SLR01 designed in 2015.

Although BMC's success on the road has been obvious, the company have constantly raised the bar with its mountain bike models as well. 29ers, 27.5" dual suspension bikes, and 26" hard tails - BMC develops off-road models for every type of rider.

Today, BMC is one of the few company's in the world to own their own carbon prototyping and manufacturing facility - the Impec Advanced R&D lab in Grechen. While only a few select models are actually produced here, BMC are able to design and test many of its bikes in house.

In 2011, Cadel Evans rode to victory in the world’s toughest cycling race, the Tour de France on a BMC Teammachine SLR01 and only 2 years later, Philippe Gilbert won the World Championships on the same machine.
