Garmin Bike Lights

View:

Garmin is a well-known brand that produces high-quality GPS devices, power meters, smartwatches and more. But did you know they also make smart bike lights that can communicate with your Garmin device and adjust to your riding conditions?

Garmin bike lights are part of the Varia line of products, including a rearview radar and a rearview camera. The Varia bike lights have two models: the UT800 smart headlight and the RTL515/RTL516 rear light radar.

Garmin Bike Light Model Range

The UT800 smart headlight is a powerful light that can produce up to 800 lumens. It has five modes: high, medium, low, night flash and day flash. The UT800 can pair with compatible Garmin devices via ANT+ or Bluetooth and automatically adjust its beam intensity based on your speed and ambient light. For example, when you are riding fast in low-light conditions, it will increase its brightness to help you see farther ahead. When you are riding slowly in bright daylight, it will lower its brightness to conserve battery life.

The RTL515/RTL516 rear light radar is a unique device that combines a tail light with a radar sensor. It can detect vehicles approaching from behind up to 140 metres away and alert you on your compatible Garmin device or smartphone app. It also has four modes: solid, peloton (low intensity), night flash and day flash. The RTL515 has an integrated vertical mount, while the RTL516 has an integrated seat-post quarter-turn mount.

Benfits of Garmin Bike Lights

Garmin bike lights are easy to install and use. You can control them manually or adjust them automatically based on your settings. You can also use them with the Connect IQ app store, where you can find data fields and widgets that let you customize your light settings. For example, you can use Smart Bike Lights, a data field IQ Connect application for Garmin devices that displays and controls ANT+ lights.

Garmin bike lights are designed to enhance your cycling experience by giving you more visibility and awareness on the road. They are compatible with many Garmin devices such as Edge computers, Fenix watches, Forerunner watches and more.
