Cervelo Bikes

View:

Cervelo is a Canadian company that designs and manufactures high-performance road and triathlon bicycles. The company was founded in 1995 by two engineers, Phil White and Gerard Vroomen, and it has since become one of the most well-known and respected brands in the cycling industry.

Cervelo bicycles are known for their emphasis on aerodynamics and stiffness, which are two key factors in achieving high performance on the road. The company's engineers use advanced computer-aided design software and wind-tunnel testing to optimize the aerodynamic properties of their bikes, which can help riders to achieve faster speeds and better handling in windy conditions.

Cervelo Bike Range

  • Road Bikes: Cervelo's road bikes are divided into two main categories: the R-series and the S-series. The R-series is designed for racing and features a more aggressive geometry and a focus on lightweight, stiffness and power transfer. On the other hand, the S-series is the brand's aero bike range and dials up the stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency to excel on flat and rolling terrain. Cervelo also recently released two new model families to its road bike stable, the Caledonia, designed for endurance riding and features a more relaxed geometry and a focus on comfort. Lastly, the Soloist is an amalgamation of the R and S series. It is designed as a mid-range all-around race bike that splits the difference between the flag-ship model ranges to balance lightweight climbing ability and aerodynamic efficiency.

  • Triathlon & Time Trial Bikes: Cervelo's triathlon bikes are designed to be as fast and efficient as possible to help triathletes achieve their best possible performance. These bikes are built with aerodynamics in mind and feature a variety of design elements that help to reduce drag, such as aero tubing, integrated brake systems, and hidden storage for nutrition and hydration. Cervelo also offers a line of time trial bikes designed for riders competing in individual time trial events. These bikes feature an even more aggressive geometry and are built with aerodynamics in mind, featuring aero tubing and integrated brake systems to reduce drag and improve performance.

  • Gravel Bikes: Another recent addition to the Cervelo bike line-up is a range of versatile gravel bikes. The Aspero and Aspero-5 range of all-road bikes strike a balance between off-road racing and gravel adventure, with pedalling efficiency and compliance similar to its celebrated road bikes while also offering mounting points for bike bags and space for wide tyres
