BMX Pegs

View:

BMX pegs are cylindrical attachments that are added to a BMX bike's front and/or rear axles to allow the rider to perform certain tricks. They are typically made from aluminium or steel and are screwed onto the axle using a 14mm wrench.

Why Use BMX Pegs

BMX pegs allow riders to perform tricks such as grinds, where the rider slides the bike along a rail or other surface while the peg is in contact with it. They can also be used for balance tricks such as manual, where the rider balances on the back wheel while the front wheel is in the air. BMX pegs also allow riders to do various other tricks, such as stalls, where the rider stops the bike while balancing on the pegs.

Different BMX pegs are available, each with its specific use and design. Some are designed to be used on the front wheel, while others are designed for the rear wheel. Some pegs are designed on smooth surfaces like rails, while others are designed for rough surfaces like ledges. Different lengths and diameters of pegs are also available, which can affect how they perform certain tricks.

BMX pegs are an important accessory for BMX riders who want to perform tricks and advance their riding skills. However, it's important to note that using pegs can be dangerous if proper safety precautions are not taken. It's important always to wear protective gear such as a helmet, knee and elbow pads when using pegs and to make sure the pegs are securely attached to the bike.
