The Santos Great Bike Ride was established in 2004 and immediately established itself as one of Perth’s most popular community participation cycling events.
The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Perth to raise significant and vital funds for the St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project, Hope for Children and the Heart Foundation – so by fundraising, you will not only be helping one charity, but helping three very important causes make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. This year's event will be held on Sunday 22nd November 2009. All three rides start and finish at Langley Park and participants will experience a visually spectacular and scenic tour of the Perth Swan River whilst taking on the awesome challenge of a 10km, 53km or 106km course!!!
Since this event is really all about riders getting their friends, colleagues and families to donate money to the charities through sponsorship (and enjoying a great ride around the river of course) we thought we would give you the chance to gain free entry through your fundraising efforts!!
If you raise $200 as an individual you receive your entry for FREE!!!
Not too keen on riding your bicycle? Consider being part of the excitement and atmosphere on the day by volunteering.
Volunteers will each receive a kit including event t-shirt, hat, drink and snack. To register please visit: http://www.greatbikeride.com.au/volunteer_form.asp
